Lead time can be increased by parts delays or discovery of additional problems during the repair process. Every repair is different. How much does it cost?

Our labor charge is based off a flat-rate fee. Depending on the equipment make & model and the problem that it is experiencing. These rates reflect the total work required to restore the equipment to good working order.

We can help assess…

Is there sentimental value to your gear? Do you like the gear? Are you familiar with it?

We can provide information to make your decision easier, but ultimately, deciding if it is worth repairing is completely up to you.

How does it work?

Advance Camera makes every effort to provide a trouble free, fair, and efficient repair process. Here are the basic steps:

  1. Quote

If you’re local, no need to make an appointment - stop on by the shop! Our hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10-5. We can do a checkout while you wait. Once our tech is done going over your gear, we’ll give you an estimate. If you’re out-of-area, please get in touch using our contact form. It asks you to provide us with information about your camera and the problem(s) you are having. We’ll respond with an estimate, including a range of labor rates and prices for any required parts. With this information, you decide if you would like to send the camera in for a free estimate.

  2. Estimate

Once the gear is received, we log it in to our repair system. One of our expert technicians evaluates the unit and provides a more precise estimate of the labor and parts required to restore it to good working order.

  3. Approval

Our repair department contacts you with the details of the estimate. If you decide that you would like to proceed with the repair, provide us with your authorization to begin the work. We will collect a non-refundable deposit and any parts costs before servicing your gear.

  4. Repair

Our expert technicians perform the required work on your camera. Parts (if required) are ordered, received, and installed. From time to time, additional problems are found which were not discovered during the initial free evaluation. In this situation, the process returns to Step 2 for re-estimate.

  5. Pickup or Shipping

After the camera repair is complete, we will notify you. If the camera is being shipped, we will collect the remaining balance and ship your camera. If you are local and picking up your camera, payment is collected at pickup.
